New national restrictions will come into force on January 4th across England, reintroducing some business closures and encouraging home working where possible.
The
latest government guidance outlines that where people cannot work from home, such as in manufacturing, construction and home improvement, staff should continue to attend their workplace. The government recognises this as being essential for keeping the country operating while supporting vital sectors.
The health and safety of our colleagues, customers and suppliers is always our top priority. Since we reopened earlier this year, all our sites have operated safely in line with COVID-secure guidelines, including those located in very high-risk areas.
In line with the new guidelines, therefore, we will continue to keep our sites open safely to ensure we can meet our customers’ requirements throughout this period.
As always, we will monitor the situation carefully across all our sites, while as many of our employees as possible will continue to work from home.
