Closer Integration

Increasingly, automotive glass suppliers are becoming involved in the sequencing of products for just in time (JIT) delivery, which may include glazing module content, to the VM’s assembly line. In some cases, this involves working on the line.

These demands on the glazing manufacturers are also becoming more intense as VMs seek both to update their product ranges more frequently and to shorten the time taken to develop and bring their new models to market. To this end, major suppliers are today playing a key role in the design process, working closely with the VM in the early stages of development.
