A View Of One’s Own - #MyWindowSeat

30 Sep 2019
They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, which would explain why all of us have our own ideas for what makes the perfect view.

For some of us, it’s a view of some stunning rolling hills, others like to immerse ourselves in a city skyline, and some of us simply like to catch the sight of a sunset from our living room window.

The vast differences in what makes the ideal view for each of us is something that we really wanted to capture with the return of our #MyWindowSeat competition on social media. We asked our followers to capture the sights from their homes that they treasure the most, to show that there is beauty to be found in many different settings, in many different homes.

Our winning shot this year captured the view on a beautiful, blue-skied day in Cumbria, but we wanted to share some other entries that show how the perfect view can be as simplistic as a colourful night sky, or even the safe space of your own back garden.

Here’s some of our favourite #MyWindowSeat view, as well as the winning entry.
