Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, part of the NSG Group, has pioneered a new glass range with 50% less embodied carbon when compared to standard float glass* ‒ representing the lowest carbon product of its kind on the market.

The independent verification comes from a new Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) now available for Pilkington Mirai™ launched in October last year. Pilkington Mirai™ has 52% less total embodied carbon when compared to standard float glass produced by Pilkington UK.

The Pilkington Activ™ range of products combines both self-cleaning and solar control properties, helping to keep the glass cleaner and clearer. The ideal glass solution for conservatories and orangeries.

Under the agreement, Pilkington UK will supply Morgan Sindall with its broad range of architectural glass used for energy efficiency, solar control and fire safety in residential and commercial buildings.
