Pilkington DesignPrint is a digitally printed glass produced with highest precision and state-of-the-art technology. The image is printed on the glass using ceramic ink, which is then fired into the glass during the toughening process.

You are also welcome to send us your desired design and we will take care of the visualization and print preparation (recommended resolution of the design: ≥ 300 dpi).

Sustainable production

We attach great importance to sustainable production and careful use of resources. That is why all of our paints are free of harmful substances such as lead, cadmium and lithium, which means that they are RoHS-compliant. The electricity that supplies our production machines is obtained exclusively from renewable energy sources.

Proven Quality

Pilkington DesignPrint is produced with the highest precision and the latest technology. Novel special printheads transfer the ceramic color precisely onto the glass, which is baked at approx. 650 °C in the toughening process. The end product is standard-compliant single-pane safety glass in accordance with EN 12150 standard or heat strengthened glass in accordance with EN 1863. Upon request, the glass can be subjected to the heat soak test (HST) in accordance with DIN 18516 to prevent spontaneous breakages caused by NiS (nickel sulfite) inclusions. On request, we can further process Pilkington DesignPrint into laminated safety glass and insulating glass.
