In today’s tech-enabled world, creating decorative, practical and multi-functional spaces is a must. Pilkington MirroView™ digital display mirror is designed to transform interiors according to their use.
Digital displays have become essential to our home life in recent years, as the coronavirus pandemic has increased our reliance on digital screens for work, socialising and entertainment.
Now, an advanced glass solution is helping to make digital displays a seamless part of today’s smart homes. As we make use of more and more smart technology, the mirrors in our homes are now taking on new digital capabilities too.
Pilkington MirroView™ is a pioneering glazing product from NSG Group that allows you to conceal digital displays and video screens behind a highly reflective mirror coating. It is ideal for any room where there is low ambient light, such as bathrooms, kitchens and living rooms. Its concealing effect means you can hide the fact that there is a screen and soften with the aesthetics of a mirror.
Pilkington MirroView™ 50/50 offers the same qualities as the original product, yet it is designed for use in applications with high ambient light such as retail stores.
Its innovative technology changes the way digital displays and video screens are seen. Pilkington MirroView™ looks like a normal mirror when the screen is 'off', but when the screen is 'on', the image shows through the mirror for a clear view of the screen beneath.
In addition to being suitable for standard mirror applications, both products are compatible with all touch screen technologies including projected capacitive touch, making them ideal for smart mirrors.
The digital display mirrors are available in large stock sizes and various thicknesses – including 3.2 mm and 6 mm.
The unique product had been developed in response to a growing demand for multi-functional glass. The NSG Group is proud of creating high-performance, practical glazing that allows people to make the most of their interior spaces and Pilkington MirroView™ is a clear example of this. The product combines a detailed understanding of the way our customers live and work with the very best in modern glazing innovation.
Digital displays are now an ever-present feature of our lives, and as our properties become more connected with digital technology, we’re finding new ways to optimise the glass screens and surfaces within our homes.
