Pilkington Mirai™ is a low-carbon glass that has a 52% lower carbon footprint compared to standard glass products. This is achieved through the use of alternative fuels, a high proportion of recycled glass content and the use of green electricity sources.

With the Pilkington glass range we can offer high light transmission with solar control and retain the natural look with neutral appearance glass products. At the other extreme we can restrict light and solar gain in varying proportions and add colour or reflection into the products.

The rating improvement follows the NSG Group’s latest architectural glass Pilkington Mirai™ having been independently verified as the lowest embodied carbon glass of its kind, with 52% less embodied carbon when compared to standard float glass.
