NSG Group announced today the float furnace to produce TCO (transparent conductive oxide) coated glass for solar panels in Luckey, Ohio has started operation. Due to the pandemic, the inaugural furnace lighting ceremony was held virtually and streamed live over the company social media platforms.

On August 7th, Pilkington Brasil's Caçapava plant received a visit from the leadership of Banho Solidário Sampa, a social project sponsored by the company's Architectural Glass Department (Blindex) which provides baths to homeless people in the largest city in Latin America.

The new plant is scheduled for commissioning in May 2023. The new project is first and foremost the Company's response to the ever-growing demand for glass in the domestic market. The needs are growing, and the orders include more and more extensive batches of insulating glass units.

The NSG Group has set a target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 30% by 2030 compared to 2018 levels and has been certified as a Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). As part of this, it aims to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.

Company News. The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, announced an investment of $40 million in NSG UK Enterprises Limited (NSG UK), a member of the NSG Group, a long-standing IFC client.

NSG Group have announced it has selected a location for its new glass production facility in the United States. The new plant will support the Group’s plan to expand production capacity of online TCO (transparent conductive oxide) coated glass to support the growing solar market, as announced earlier in May 2018.

Last year on the 24th of December Pilkington Netherlands received fantastic news that they achieved as first insulating glass units (IGU) manufacturer in the world and the first one within NSG Group the “Cradle to Cradle Silver” certification for almost all possible IGU combinations.

23 Aug 2022. NSG Group experts will join other influential contributors at this year’s Glasstec conference that will be focused on decarbonisation. Specifically targeted leading-edge lectures will offer attendees a blend of theory and practice on this pressing global issue.

The expansion of the Pilkington IGP factory in Ostrołęka is not the company's last investment. It has further plans to expand its plants as well as develop new, specialized types of glasses.
