Heads-Up Display (HUD)

Back to Windshields

What Is HUD?

Heads-Up Display (HUD) technology projects essential driving information, like speed, directions, and alerts, onto the lower part of the windshield. This lets drivers stay focused on the road ahead, without shifting their view to the navigation screen. By integrating the display into the glass itself, HUD becomes a seamless part of the driving experience and supports safer, more attentive driving.

The Windshield Makes It Possible

A HUD system relies on more than a projector. The windshield itself is engineered to display the image clearly and accurately. Our HUD-compatible windshields use a specialized laminated glass structure with a wedge-shaped inner layer that prevents double images and distortion. Without this precision, the HUD projection may appear blurry or misaligned. The glass is not just a surface; it is a critical part of the display system.

Maintains Performance

After a windshield replacement, maintaining HUD performance requires proper glass and correct installation. Even minor differences in glass angle or position can affect image clarity. Our HUD-compatible windshields are engineered to OEM specifications to ensure optical accuracy, and they support fine-tuning with manufacturer-approved calibration tools when needed.
