Pilkington Insulight™ Protect

Pilkington Insulight™ Protect units use safety glass, security glass, bullet-resistant glass, toughened glass or fire-resistant glass. This range offers not only increased safety and comfort, but can also assure suitable levels of natural light, increased heat insulation and solar control as well.

Pilkington Insulight™ Protect insulating glass units can incorporate:

  • Pilkington Toughened Safety Glass
  • Pilkington Optilam™ - laminated safety glass
  • Pilkington Optilam™ - laminated security glass
  • Pilkington Optilam™ - laminated bullet-resistant glass

Features & Benefits

  • Incorporated glass meets the standard requirements for safety glass.
  • Comprehensively tested.
  • Complies with European and international standards.
  • Reduced risk of injury – glass breaks safely after impact.
  • Depending on requirements, can also protect against burglary, gunfire, etc.

Spectrum Calculation Program

Pilkington Spectrum is a Windows-based glass performance model which enables you to quickly and efficiently calculate key properties of insulating glass units without the need to construct and measure them. You can use Pilkington Spectrum to provide the following information:

  • Light and solar properties (transmittance, reflectance, absorptance, g value, etc.).
  • Centre pane Ug-value.
  • Sound insulation values.
  • Ultra violet (uv) transmittance and colour rendering index (Ra).
  • Other properties (e.g. pendulum body impact resistance, fire resistance, resistance to manual attack, etc.).
