Pilkington OptiView™

Pilkington OptiView™ is a color neutral, anti-reflective, pyrolytic (on-line) coated product. It can be used in a monolithic or laminated application.

Pilkington OptiView™ is a monolithic glass, with the anti-reflective coating on one surface, which reduces visible light reflectance and allows more visible light to pass through, when compared to clear float glass with 8% light reflectance as standard.

The product can be used in a monolithic application.

Features & Benefits

  • Reduced light reflectance.
  • UV Control: anti-reflective properties allow it to absorb UV wavelengths and reduce damage and fading caused by UV radiation.
  • Durability: pyrolytic coating on the glass is durable and it is easy to process.
  • Available glass thicknesses: 3 mm, 4 mm, 6 mm.
  • Available stock sizes: 6000 mm × 3210 mm; 2550 mm × 3210 mm.

Design Flexibility

Pilkington OptiView™ can be bent, toughened, heat-strengthened, painted for spandrel and a ceramic frit can be applied.

Custom designs, images, logos, text, patterns or tinted interlayers can be laminated into the panes to create a truly personalized application.

The design can be easily cleaned and free of fingerprints and other abrasions.

Spectrum Calculation Program

Pilkington Spectrum is a Windows-based glass performance model which enables you to quickly and efficiently calculate key properties of insulating glass units without the need to construct and measure them. You can use Pilkington Spectrum to provide the following information:

  • Light and solar properties (transmittance, reflectance, absorptance, g value, etc.).
  • Centre pane Ug-value.
  • Sound insulation values.
  • Ultra violet (uv) transmittance and colour rendering index (Ra).
  • Other properties (e.g. pendulum body impact resistance, fire resistance, resistance to manual attack, etc.).
