Pilkington Profilit™ Wave


Pilkington Profilit™ Wave is the first wave-shaped textured channel glass.

In the facade as well as in the interior, the symmetric wave-shaped surface of Pilkington Profilit™ Wave gives rise to a fine structure.

From a distance too, it gives buildings and building elements greater depth and structure.

Additionally, colour-changing effects are created that, depending on the exposure of light, light intensity and viewing angle result in interesting optical variations on the glass surface.

Delivery and installation lengths of Pilkington Profilit™ Wave are the same as the familiar values of the standard products.

The same applies to the static and energetic properties that vary only slightly as a result of the variation in the surface geometry.

Pilkington Profilit™ Wave is manufactured according to EN 527-7.

Spectrum Calculation Program

Pilkington Spectrum is a Windows-based glass performance model which enables you to quickly and efficiently calculate key properties of insulating glass units without the need to construct and measure them. You can use Pilkington Spectrum to provide the following information:

  • Light and solar properties (transmittance, reflectance, absorptance, g value, etc.).
  • Centre pane Ug-value.
  • Sound insulation values.
  • Ultra violet (uv) transmittance and colour rendering index (Ra).
  • Other properties (e.g. pendulum body impact resistance, fire resistance, resistance to manual attack, etc.).
