The team in Vizag, Automotive OE, India has been awarded for their ‘Combat Corona’ project. 

The project covers all site activities in order to reduce the risk of COVID-19 infections. Overall, the project demonstrated a very high level holistic approach to reduce COVID-19 related infection risks. The winner stood out due to their well-established employee involvement in the activities.

The judging panel made four additional Commendations. These projects also had holistic approaches taken by the management teams and employees with elements such as site entrance controls, social distancing, sanitation, communication and training.

• Sungai Buloh site, Automotive OE, Malaysia: ‘COVID-19 Management’

• Tianjin NGF Glass Fiber site, Creative technology, China: ‘Response to COVID-19 to restart production’

• Automotive OE North America: ‘COVID-19 Countermeasures MST’

In total, the judging panel received 42 applications. The projects included several activities to help reduce the risk of infection with the Coronavirus. All 42 projects demonstrated impressive creativity and flexibility in order to respond to the challenges of the pandemic in an industrial environment.
