The NSG Group, that manufactures glass under the Pilkington brand, will be exhibiting its latest innovations at Glasstec 2022, the world’s leading glass industry trade fair, in Dusseldorf from 20-23 September 2022.
Visitors to the stand D37 in Hall 10, will be able to explore the recently introduced value-added products and innovative solutions suitable for a wide range of architectural projects, whatever their challenges and budget.
Featured will be Pilkington AviSafe™ ‒ a new glass with a special coating designed to help prevent birds from colliding with the windows and façades of buildings.
Pilkington AviSafe™ features a UV enhanced pattern that’s more visible to birds than it is to humans, which helps to prevent these collisions and ensures maximum transparency, while maintaining the aesthetical appeal of glass in architecture.
Also showcasing will be a selection from the new range of corrosion resistant mirrors, such as Pilkington Mirropane™ Chrome Plus, now available in three new distinctive colours Blue, Grey and Bronze. Pilkington Mirropane™ Chrome is a very versatile chromium-based mirror that can be used in a variety of interior and decorative applications, such as bathrooms, hotel lobbies, health clubs or gyms, as well as façade panels, or in technical applications such as commercial refrigeration and lighting systems etc.
The stand will also exhibit SenseComfort – The Smart Window concept by NSG Group with a special sensor developed by PHYSEE. The sensor measures incoming light intensity and solar radiation. This information allows for the continuous monitoring that the impact of the outdoor climate has on the indoor environment. This is essential in optimising smart buildings so that they use as much light and heat from natural sources for a more sustainable, comfortable, and healthy working environment.
The NSG Group will also unveil the HeatComfort solution powered by NSG TEC™. HeatComfort is a range of products using The NSG Group technology of electrically conductive coatings to redefine the concept of comfort. By applying a voltage to the NSG TEC™ coating, the glass heats up, so when incorporated into an insulating glass unit, the heat flow can be directed into the living space.
In the area of PV/BIPV, on show there will be Pilkington Sunplus™ BIPV window and a PV spandrel solution that allows a building to generate energy as an environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing alternative to traditional energy sources.
