Blindex®, a reference in the Brazilian glass industry for over 70 years, was present at Glass South America, the International Glass Design and Technology Trade Fair, which took place in São Paulo, Brazil from the 12th to 15th of June.
The participation of Blindex in the 15th Edition of Glass SA, the largest glass event in South America, made history. The booth theme was “Design and safety for the whole family, including pets”. On a 260 m2 booth, the brand drew attention to the attractive way it displayed its products combined with original glass and accessories, all assembled in actual size and in environments that faithfully reproduced the usefulness of glass. The key highlights were: cracked glass steps and staircase, Sensory Room “Sea of Mirrors” with photo booth, Doghouse, Blindex Slim and Classic Shower case, Blindex Door, Multipurpose kit, and Gift booth.
The Doghouse dragged a lot of attention among visitors to the booth. The product is conceptual, absolutely safe, and fully complies with toughened glass safety standards, adding design, comfort, and pets safety.
“We present real and innovative applications with glass, which go beyond the conventional, and, intending to bring the safety of Blindex products to the whole family, we built a doghouse, considering that pets are part of families not only in Brazil but also Worldwide. It is worth adding that the Pet market shows constant growth year after year, with 30% accumulated growth expected between 2023 and 2025. We remain attentive to the main market trends and thus we have a marketing justification for the creation of the Doghouse made of glass”, comments Gloria Cardoso, General Manager of Blindex.
The stunning staircase, steps and guardrail constructed in the booth were an eye-catcher. They were made of triple laminated glass with two outer panes toughened and the middle one heat-strengthened, which was broken (on purpose) through a puncture. This disruptive effect on architecture brings new trends in interior design.
Visitors to the stand could explore the Sensory Room – a replica of the famous exhibition “Sea of Mirrors”, located in Rio de Janeiro. An environment composed of digitally printed branded glass, Blindex Impress, and mirrors on the floor and ceiling, a combination that awakened the feeling of infinity, an immersive attraction. In addition to the space, it was possible to record the moment and take the photo home with the Blindex personalized layout.
Two new products from the Blindex Boxes portfolio were presented at the booth.
Box Blindex Slim aims to meet the great demand of architects for bathrooms with small spaces, and the main difference is the single door, opening up to 90% of the space.
Blindex Classic shower case was a bestseller a few years ago, and now it returns with a minimalist European design to suit sophisticated bathrooms. It is a premium line, where every detail has been carefully thought out, including the long handle, profiles with straight and thin lines, double “V” shaped pulleys, aluminum accessories, and a safety lock built into the upper profile.
Blindex Door was also featured at the booth. The company presented a sliding door system to cover large spaces. It stands out for its minimalist design, where glass is the main highlight, composed of resistant profiles and carriages with triple pulleys to allow the product to function better. The system is developed and patented by Blindex.
A multipurpose kit presented at the booth is a closing system for small gaps, such as sinks, cabinets, and showcases. Composed in the Gourmet Area environments and bathrooms together with Blindex Impress glass, it brought elegance and versatility.
As an attraction of the event, the company organized the Blindex Awards Booth, where various brand gifts, such as meat boards, backpacks, spatulas, and glass cleaners, were raffled off among visitors. This activity pleased the public and generated extra leads for the stand.
