The NSG Group will exhibit a range of high-performance glass products at the HortiContact show at the Evenementenhal Gorinchem in Gorinchem, the Netherlands on 5-7th March 2024.
Visitors to the stand G155 in the sustainability square and will be able to learn more about how our glass is supporting efforts in sustainable food production and how we are reducing the embodied carbon in glass, recycling old greenhouse glass.
Featured will be Pilkington Mirai™ ‒ a new low carbon glass verified as the lowest embodied carbon architectural glass in the market. Pilkington Mirai™ has 52% less total embodied carbon when compared to standard float glass produced by the NSG Group. The glass offers the lowest carbon alternative to regular float glass on the market, with no difference in performance, quality, or aesthetic appearance. It represents a simple solution for architects, developers and asset owners to lower the upfront embodied carbon of buildings.
The visitors will also be able to explore our range of Pilkington Botanical™ products aimed at improving crop yield or reducing the reliance on external energy to maintain the internal environment.
The Pilkington Botanical™ which includes several innovative glass solutions suitable for a wide range of Greenhouse applications, can be offered in a range of thicknesses and all products are durable enough to withstand cleaning and will last the lifetime of the glass.
Our product range includes uncoated, coated and structured glass. Our uncoated glass includes Pilkington Optifloat™ Clear and Pilkington Optiwhite™ extra clear glass. The structured glass Pilkington HortiHaze™ scatters the light to prevent problems from shading and potential overheating. The Pilkington HortiGrow™ offers enhanced light transmission. We are also developing other solutions to reduce cleaning or reduce heat loss.
