As part of Honda’s goal to making the world a better place, one community at a time, the Honda Week of Service is back for 2021 but instead of a week it’s a Summer of Service. The campaign is running from June through August with a focus on supporting the COVID-19 recovery.

As a Honda supplier, NSG Group is proud to participate and this year, Bethany House, a Northwest Ohio based long term domestic violence shelter which provides housing and services for those in need was chosen as the community recipient.

The company’s Northwood and Toledo, Ohio locations held a donation drive to collect items needed by the residents of Bethany House, such as toiletries, cleaning supplies, household items, and professional work clothes.

Additionally, $1,500 will be donated to the Bethany House directly from the Toledo Mud Hens organization. This donation was the result of a joint fundraiser and NSG Group selected Bethany House as the beneficiary.

“On behalf of NSG Group, the Automotive OE team was happy to organize,” said event organizer Erika Cline. “Thanks to the generosity of our employees, the drive was a great success.”

As they sorted through the donations, the Bethany House representatives said they were amazed by how successful this donation drive turned out to be. They were grateful to everyone at NSG Group for the hard work that went into gathering the donations. They also said the Bethany House relies on community support to provide survivors of domestic violence with household and personal care supplies, so they have a space to heal and can focus on rebuilding their lives.

A blood drive is planned in August to further support the community.
