Laminated and Tempered Products

Laminated Glass

All automotive windshields are made of laminated glass. An inner plastic laminate layer is sandwiched between two glass pieces to form laminated glass. When broken, the glass layers remain in place and are less likely to cause injury.

Tempered Glass

Tempered glass can be used for all vehicle glass except windshields. Tempered glass is a strong, break-resistant glass made by rapid cooling immediately as the glass exits the furnace. Should the glass break, due to impact, it is designed to shatter into hundreds of small pieces upon impact, which eliminates dangerous edges in accidents.
