Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint

Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint is a body-tinted float glass available in Green, Bronze, Grey, and Pilkington Arctic Blue™. The colour is incorporated during the float manufacturing process, providing consistent colour and solar performance.

It is designed to provide visual interest, reduce glare and offer a degree of solar control performance in both exterior and interior applications. Solar control levels and colour density vary according to glass thickness.

Available in a range of thicknesses, Pilkington Optifloat™ Tint can be toughened, laminated or incorporated into insulating glass units (IGUs) to suit project-specific performance requirements.

Pilkington Spectrum

Pilkington Spectrum is a Windows-based glass performance model which enables you to quickly and efficiently calculate key properties of a wide range of single glazing and insulating glass units. Also available as an app for mobile devices, you can use Pilkington Spectrum to provide the following information:

  • Light and solar properties (transmittance, reflectance, absorptance, g value, etc.).
  • Centre pane Ug-value.
  • Sound insulation values.
  • Global Warming Potential (GWP), or carbon footprint.
  • Ultra violet (uv) transmittance and colour rendering index (Ra).
  • Other properties (e.g. pendulum body impact resistance, fire resistance, resistance to manual attack, etc.).
