Pilkington OptiView™ Ultra DC


Pilkington OptiView™ Ultra DC is a monolithic glass based on a Pilkington Optiwhite™ low-iron substrate with an anti-reflective coating on both surfaces. It is designed to reduce visible reflections and improve through-vision where clarity of display or viewing is important. 

It is suited to applications where standard clear float glass can create distracting reflections, such as retail shopfronts, display glazing and specialist viewing areas. The product can also be incorporated into bespoke laminated constructions.

Where the design intent is to present objects, interiors or views with reduced visual interference from reflected light, Pilkington OptiView™ Ultra DC offers a low-reflection glazing option that can also be combined within wider processed glass make-ups, subject to project requirements and processor capability.

Pilkington Spectrum

Pilkington Spectrum is a Windows-based glass performance model which enables you to quickly and efficiently calculate key properties of a wide range of single glazing and insulating glass units. Also available as an app for mobile devices, you can use Pilkington Spectrum to provide the following information:

  • Light and solar properties (transmittance, reflectance, absorptance, g value, etc.).
  • Centre pane Ug-value.
  • Sound insulation values.
  • Global Warming Potential (GWP), or carbon footprint.
  • Ultra violet (uv) transmittance and colour rendering index (Ra).
  • Other properties (e.g. pendulum body impact resistance, fire resistance, resistance to manual attack, etc.).
