Pilkington Activ SunShade™
Pilkington Activ SunShade™ is a dual-coated glass that combines Pilkington Activ™ self-cleaning technology with solar control performance. The product incorporates a durable on-line coating on the external surface that uses daylight and rainwater to help break down and wash away organic dirt from the glass surface.
An additional off-line solar control coating is applied to the inner surface of the outer pane, helping to reduce the amount of solar heat entering the building while maintaining useful levels of natural daylight.
The combination of self-cleaning functionality and solar control makes Pilkington Activ SunShade™ suitable for glazed areas where solar gain and access for cleaning may be considerations, such as conservatories, glazed extensions, roof glazing and façades.
