Thinking outside of the Box with Pilkington Planar™
The Box Moor Trust, a charitable organisation dedicated to the upkeep of open spaces in the stunning Hertfordshire countryside, recently chose Pilkington Planar™ for its new Centre. Pilkington Planar™ was installed in conjunction with Pilkington Suncool™ and Pilkington Optifloat™ for the atrium of the new building.

Pilkington Planar™ used in award winning Hospital refurbishment
Pilkington Planar™ has been used in an award winning refurbishment of the historic St Thomas' Hospital in London. St Thomas’ Hospital is a renowned teaching hospital located in central London, opposite the Houses of Parliament on the south bank of the River Thames. Given its prominent location and out-dated building, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust felt that its Gassiot House outpatients centre was in need of a serious refurbishment.

The latest results from independent tests at leading Notified Body IFT Rosenheim confirm Pilkington Spacia™ achieves a Ug-value of 1.1 W/m2K. At just 6.5 mm thick, this means it offers the best energy efficiency performance by far in a mass-produced ‘slim’ glazing product, setting a new standard for both ‘Heritage’ style double glazing and other specialised applications across the glazing industry.

Pilkington Planar™ key to eco makeover of Danish HQ
Rising from the quayside of Midtermolen to the north of Copenhagen, the headquarters of Danish financial services company ALM Brand looks every inch a new build. In actuality, the building was constructed in 1994, undergoing a recent renovation with Pilkington Planar™ at the heart of the project, used in combination with the most modern of technologies.
