Pilkington Solar-E™ and Pilkington Solar-E™ Plus
Pilkington Solar-E™ and Pilkington Solar-E™ Plus are a range of solar control clear or body-tinted coated glass with medium light transmittance, low light reflectance, and low emissivity.
The durable coating is applied pyrolytically during the manufacturing process to a variety of substrates, available in a range of tints:

Applications
The Pilkington Solar-E™ coating, preferably situated on surface #2, works through absorption of solar radiation, thereby reducing solar heat gain, meeting cooling load requirements while also maintaining natural daylight transmittance in warm climate regions.
The Pilkington Solar-E™ Plus coating, preferably situated on surface #2, offers enhanced solar absorption when compared to Pilkington Solar-E™ making it the perfect solution for glazing in hot, high solar radiation environments, softening the impact of harsh direct sunlight.
Thanks to their low exterior light reflectance the products are widely used for glass facades where high reflectance is prohibited or undesirable. Where a safety glass is required, the products can be specified as toughened or laminated glass.
