Two & Four Point Castings
A designer is able to chose from an extensive library of cast springplates whether the connection detail be at the cruciform (4 point connection) or at the intermediate location (2 point connection). All of these castings provide adequate movement capability and have been designed to support the reactions which would be expected at the fitting locations of a typical facade.
Providing the opportunity to customise and innovate, Pilkington Architectural engineers are able to develop new stainless steel connectors by use of 3D CAD and finite element models. These connectors allow the designer to tailor the aesthetic of the facade to their individual requirement, whether than be a subtle detail or a bold design statement. The mechanical performance and corrosion resistance of such connectors can be increased by the use of Duplex materials if required.
