Pilkington Optiphon™
Pilkington Optiphon™ is an acoustic laminated glass intended to help reduce the transmission of external and internal noise through the glazing. It uses a special PVB interlayer and can be configured in different glass make-ups to target project-specific sound reduction requirements.
It is suited to applications where noise from road, rail, or air traffic, as well as nearby commercial or residential activity, needs to be considered to improve occupant satisfaction. The product can also be incorporated into insulating glass units and can be combined with other Pilkington UK products where additional functions such as thermal insulation, solar control or self-cleaning are required.
