Under the agreement, Pilkington UK will supply Morgan Sindall with its broad range of architectural glass used for energy efficiency, solar control and fire safety in residential and commercial buildings.

Collectively we can support the transition to a circular glass economy and reduce the amount of glass ending up in landfill. Under our renew:glass initiative, along with our partners, our goal is to increase the amount of float glass being responsibly recycled and give it new life.

Carbon capture is an essential part of the raft of solutions that are urgently needed to tackle climate change. Currently though, barriers such as cost, technology maturity and compatibility within multiple industries, are preventing the widespread adoption of carbon capture.

Published on 15 th December 2021 and coming into force on 15 th June 2022, the government has set out its new requirements for Part L (conservation of fuel and power) of the Building Regulations and the supporting Approved Document for new non-dwellings in England.

Recent changes to Part L of the building regulations in England come into effect from June, and will be a significant step towards achieving the Government’s Future Homes Standard, which aims to ensure that all new homes built from 2025 will produce 75-80% less carbon than those delivered under current regulations.

Aside from regulations driving demand, 62% stated that they believe climate change is driving the growing need for specialist glazing to keep buildings the correct temperature and reduce their carbon footprint, with three quarters (76%) of specifiers also conscious of the Government’s impending 2050 net zero target.
