Pilkington Nottingham welcomed local MP and shadow policing minister Vernon Coaker MP to tour the facility on 11th February 2011.
MP for Gedling, Nottingham, Vernon Coaker heard from Garry Smith, Technical Advisory Services Manager, who highlighted that this inclusion could bring investment by the NSG Group through the growth of products such as Pilkington energiKare™. Vernon Coaker also met with Adrian Parker, Area Sales Manager, and Sean Pakenham, Works Manager, both of Pilkington Nottingham, who demonstrated the processes undertaken at the branch to supply glass for insulating glass units. Recognising the importance of energy efficient glazing, Vernon Coaker agreed to lend support to Pilkington and its trade association, the Glass & Glazing Federation, in their campaign to ensure energy efficient windows are included in the Green Deal.
