In the video, Business Development Manager for Pilkington UK & Ireland, part of the NSG Group, Tony Smith says, "We need new products and new innovations to drive the market forward to bring us out of the big dip we have been in.

"Triple glazing we see as one of the opportunities for the industry."

The video has been produced to inform the discussion ahead of The Triple Glazing Question debate. Hosted by Edgetech UK, the event takes place on Thursday 10th April 2014 at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. All sectors of the glass and glazing industry have been invited to have their say about triple glazing.

Suitable for low and zero carbon homes, Pilkington energiKare™ Triple can achieve very low U values combined with high passive solar gain give optimal energy efficiency. Typically comprising of an insulating glass unit (IGU) with two panes of a low emissivity glass, such as Pilkington K Glass, and a third pane of Pilkington Optiwhite with argon gas fill, it can contribute to achieving high Window Energy Ratings.

A recent innovation in the range of energy efficient products is Pilkington energiKare Advantage, which can provide triple glazing performance in a double glazing unit. By using Pilkington K Glass OW on surface 4 of the IGU and Pilkington Optitherm S1 Plus on surface 2, an extremely low U value of 0.9 W/m²K can be achieved.

With an increasingly wide range of energy efficient glazing options available, The Triple Glazing Question is sure to be an event not to be missed and the NSG Group is proud to participate.

Tony urges the industry to "face the challenges, embrace the changes and move forward with triple glazing."
