A listed home in Worcestershire has been fitted with new windows as part of a refurbishment that will improve energy-efficiency while preserving the building’s historic charm.
Pilkington United Kingdom Limited, part of the NSG Group, has released a new video showing how window manufacturer Gowercroft Joinery used Pilkington Spacia™ to upgrade the windows at Harvington Hall Farm.
Pilkington Spacia™ is a vacuum insulating glass that is just 6.2mm overall – the thickness of single glazing – helping it to fit into the small frames of older buildings while offering the insulating performance of double glazing.
As well as helping to retain the aesthetic appeal of heritage refurbishments, Pilkington Spacia™ is also increasingly being used in new homes and commercial buildings where architects are attempting to replicate heritage features in modern properties.
Pilkington has recently signed up three new distributors to supply Pilkington Spacia™ across the UK. Gowecroft Joinery, Grosvenor Restoration and Wm. Mallen Joinery all have extensive experience in installing the product and are supported with technical advice and guidance by the manufacturer’s own specialist team.
