Pilkington Anti Condensation Glass

27 Oct 2014
External condensation is a common problem associated with highly efficient Insulating Glass Units (IGUs). This natural phenomenon occurs when the external surface temperature of a glass pane drops below the dew point – occurring usually during the autumn and winter months.

Proof that the IGU is thermally efficient and working effectively, external condensation isn’t a bad thing, however it can cause visibility to be a problem. Designed to help solve and delay the onset of external condensation on IGUs, Pilkington Anti Condensation glass is a robust glass product that improves the view through windows.

Thanks to its low-e coating, Pilkington Anti Condensation glass works by keepingthe temperature of the external surface warmer, hence reducing the number of days which external condensation appears.

Easy to process, this glass product can be laminated, toughened and bent – meaning it can be used in a wide variety of commercial and domestic applications and in combination with other thermally-efficient glass products such as the Pilkington K Glass™ range and Pilkington Optitherm™ range in an insulating glass unit.
