Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service Visit Lathom’s Fire Testing Facilities
02 Oct 2014
With 24 fire stations located across the area, Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service was established to help create safer communities and protect community interests.
In addition to responding to all emergency calls from the public, they also deal with many other domestic situations such as flooding, storm damage, and people unable to gain access to premises. Recently, we welcomed them into our Lathom fire testing facility to talk about the NSG fire-resistant glazing range.
Steve Bond, Customer Support Manager for fire-resistant glazing, hosted the day as well as giving a talk on NSG’s fire-resistant glass, discussing various case studies where fire-resistant glazing had helped to save lives. The team also had the opportunity to see real-life fire and impact tests.
Keith Brooks, from the Cheshire fire Authority, said: “The feedback from the team was very positive, providing a greater understanding of the various different glazing products used with the built environment.”
