FAQ

1

Can you help me with installing the glass?

It’s up to you – if you want to take the glass and install it yourself, that’s fine, most screens for Classic cars can be fitted with some experience and a lot of patience, but if your looking for a specialist, we work closely with a few fitters around the country, if we can help put you in touch with someone we sure will, just contact us and ask for more details.

2

How do I order a glass?

Find your vehicle from the Makes & Models list and click on it, this will automatically fill in the details of the part to a request form, simply add your contact details to the form and press 'Submit'.

Well receive an email with your details and come back to you within 24 hours with a quote and lead time, If you want to go ahead well send out an official order and a link to our online payment site where you can pay by Credit or Debit card.

Once the payment is made well get started on the production, due to the rarity of the vehicles, most of our screens are made to order and we don't start manufacture until we have received the payment.

Lead time is typically 8 weeks and we can deliver to you directly here in the UK or anywhere in the world.

3

How much does it cost to replace my windscreen?

In many cases your insurance policy should cover Windscreen replacement if fully comprehensive.

If your purchasing directly we will provide a specific quotation for your screen.

If your in the UK we offer delivery via our own branch network, glasses are wrapped and foam protected and delivered to you by hand (no packing box) on our special delivery vans

5

Why should I buy a windscreen made by Pilkington instead of someone else?

In many cases we built the screen for your car the day it rolled off the production line, and we’ve got the original tooling and equipment as well as the specialist knowledge that we believe your vehicle deserves. And don’t forget, we can trademark your glass with Triplex, SIGLA or Secursiv so that everyone admiring your pride and joy knows it’s an original too.

6

Will a replacement screen be as good as the original.

Absolutely yes. In many cases we’re building the glass on the original tooling so it’s identical to the original manufacture. All of our glass is built to the highest standards and meets all the legal requirements of modern day motoring.
