Summer Placement - Frequently Asked Questions

Summer Placement - Frequently Asked Questions

1

What is the salary?

For 2020 the salary will be £275 per week for summer placements and £17,000 per annum for 12 month placements.

In addition to this we offer accommodation assistance for students who need to relocate for their placement.

2

Where are the placements?

The placements are at the NSG European Centre, Lathom, Lancashire.  Lathom is situated between Liverpool and Manchester with easy access to the motorway network.  However, a full UK driving licence and car ownership would be an advantage due to limited public transport to the site.

3

Will I receive help in finding accommodation?

Yes! If re-location is required we will provide you with accommodation assistance. Further information is available on request.

4

Do you offer sponsorship?

Yes! Based on your performance during the placement you may be invited back for a sponsorship selection interview. The sponsorship package includes a generous bursary and the guarantee of a placement next year. Sponsorships are reviewed annually and are a great way for you to take charge of your own career. Remember, you need to apply for the placement first.

5

When does placement selection begin and how long does it last?

The selection process commences as soon as applications are received and we expect to have completed the first stage by the end of March. Interviews are likely to run during April.

6

How are travelling expenses handled?

We will reimburse reasonable travelling expenses for the interview.

7

How do I apply for a placement and what is the closing date?

Application is by CV and covering letter to RecruitmentVacanciesUK@pl.nsg.com

The closing date for any placements will be stated on the vacancy notice.
