  • Available in toughened and laminated forms (depending on design) for safety and security performance.
  • Can be single glazed or incorporated in an Insulating Glass Unit for additional properties.
  • Available in a wide range of sizes and thicknesses (4, 6, 8 and 10 mm) depending on design.

Applications


Texture by Pilkington™ is intended for design and privacy glazing in residential or commercial settings, where the design brief calls for obscuration while retaining light levels. Final glass build-up should be selected to suit the duty, location and any safety, security, acoustic or thermal requirements of the project. 

  • Entrance and internal doors. 
  • Bathroom glazing. 
  • Internal partitions and screens. 
  • Obscure glazing to windows in privacy-sensitive locations. 
  • Decorative glazing for furniture and splashback applications, subject to correct processing and installation. 
  • Insulating glass units where additional performance characteristics are required from the overall glazing specification.

Spectrum Calculation Program

Pilkington Spectrum is a Windows-based glass performance model which enables you to quickly and efficiently calculate key properties of a wide range of single glazing and insulating glass units. Also available as an app for mobile devices, you can use Pilkington Spectrum to provide the following information:

  • Light and solar properties (transmittance, reflectance, absorptance, g value, etc.).
  • Centre pane Ug-value.
  • Sound insulation values.
  • Global Warming Potential (GWP), or carbon footprint.
  • Ultra violet (uv) transmittance and colour rendering index (Ra).
  • Other properties (e.g. pendulum body impact resistance, fire resistance, resistance to manual attack, etc.).
