Vietnam float opens
02 June 2008The furnace for the new Vietnam Glass Industries float plant was fired on May 12.
More than 120 guests - including senior members of the regional authority people's committee, the industrial zone authority, government ministries, the Consul General of Japan and local distributors, suppliers and the media - attended the launch at the plant. The lighting up ceremony itself was followed by a factory tour and lunch.VGI, which is sited about an hour and a half's drive from Ho Chi Minh City, will produce 500 tonnes per day of clear float.
