Argentina raises safety awareness

The Group’s operation in Argentina has launched a three-month media campaign to raise awareness of the performance possibilities of glass, in particular safety glass.
Using the slogan "There is glass where you least expect it - so choose Safety Glass", the campaign will illustrate everyday situations where people may collide with a pane of glass, such as a child kicking a football near a patio door.
The campaign picks up on the new Safety Glass in Buildings Law recently enacted in the City of Buenos Aires, which requires the use of safety glass in areas where there is risk of human impact.
The Group has co-ordinated the campaign in consultation with its clients and estimates that it will reach 10m people across the country. TV and radio advertising will be backed up by street and graphic media and a web page - www.vidriosseguros.com.ar - and dedicated call centre have also been created.
