Pilkington is delighted to announce a new sponsorship arrangement with The Saints.  St Helens Rugby League FC will now carry the Pilkington Activ™ brand on its shirts for key matches in its fight to retain the Super League and Challenge Cup titles.
Success in both competitions will put the Saints - and Pilkington Activ - before live audiences totalling as many as 160,000 at Wembley and Old Trafford, plus a TV audience of up to 3 million for each game.

And the Saints are well on their way - triple trophy winners last season, they are again topping the Super League and have reached the Challenge Cup semi-final on July 28, when they will meet Bradford Bulls.

The Pilkington Activ kit will also be making an appearance at the Super League play offs if all goes well and - hopefully - the Grand Final in October.  The sponsorship will continue until the end of the 2007 season, in November, when both sides will be able to review its success.

"Pilkington and the Saints go back a long way," said marketing communications manager Julia Berkin.  "We are both part of St Helens' history and have often worked together in the past so we were delighted to get the opportunity to work closely at this time.
