PRIMO beats production targets

The plant has been developed to meet the rising demand for windshield parts in the Automotive aftermarket. It is on schedule to become fully operational in January 2009 - three months ahead of the original start-up date - but actually began making wired windscreens on July 1."We started production early in response to a request from Central Logistics," said project manager and plant coordinator Paolo di Cicco. "There is a growing demand for wired parts in Europe and Primo took this opportunity."
Construction of the new PRIMO plant began in January. It is sited 2k from the main San Salvo factory and will operate 24/7 employing around 120 people.
