AGR opens new warehouse near Marseilles

06 November 2007
AGR Europe has opened a new warehouse near Marseilles, France.

The 1,022 metre square facility is the latest example of the AGR Pilkington-McDonald concept, which is being used to standardise satellite layout and operation throughout Europe.

"The concept ensures that customers feel immediately at home in any of our warehouses and employees can move from one site to another without difficulty," said Holger Ebert, operations director for AGR Europe.

Customers in the Marseilles area were previously supplied from the Lyon warehouse, so the new launch will improve the efficiency of the service to them, as well as achieve significant savings in transportation costs.

The site will be replenished with weekly deliveries from the French central hub in Paris.
