Supplier Quality Concerns Procedure
This procedure applies to all suppliers of materials and/or services that directly affect the quality of the products manufactured by Pilkington.
It defines the series of activities to be undertaken to contain, resolve and prevent the re-occurrence of supplier related quality issues.
SQIN (Supplier Quality Incident Notice)
The SQIN Database is the tool used by Pilkington to manage the processing and reporting of SQINs involving operations, procurement and quality functions, both at a local level and a central level.
From 3rd December 2007, suppliers will be able to access the SQIN system via a secure link that will be emailed to them on creation of a SQIN. Suppliers should then submit their responses and 8D reports on-line via the system.
