Pilkington Superannuation Scheme

The Scheme makes provision for members who become seriously ill. There is normally a 10-year membership condition before the Trustee will consider an application. The Trustee considers each ill health early retirement application on the medical evidence provided.
An ill health pension is based on the 1/60th unit at whatever age your retirement is accepted. It is usually based on your actual number of years of membership. However, in situations of total incapacity, the pension is based on the number of years' membership you would have had to age 65.
