DAWN PATROL
06 March 2008Dawn Patrol, which keeps a watchful eye on older and vulnerable people, is looking for more clients and volunteers.
Co-ordinated by the British Red Cross and supported by Halton and St Helens PCT and Big Lottery Fund. Dawn Patrol relies upon pupil and adult volunteers to keep a check on clients first thing in a morning. They know that all is well when the client displays a sign in their window. If the sign is not there, the client will be contacted to ensure their wellbeing. Not only does Dawn Patrol look after the interests of its clients, improving their independence and confidence, but promotes community spirit and encourages young people to become aware of the differences faced by others.
