Optiwhite produced in US

The first ever US production of Pilkington Optiwhite™ has been successfully manufactured at the Laurinburg facility in North Carolina.

The glass was produced early this year and launched into the American marketplace.

Building Products North America had previously imported Pilkington Optiwhite™ from Germany, but European sizes are different from those normally required by US customers. It now gives Pilkington the opportunity to produce it locally in the right sizes and lead times to fit customer requirements.

Pilkington Optiwhite™ has a near colorless appearance, and can be used in storefronts, showers, appliances, decorative and furniture applications, photovoltaic modules and solar collectors.
