Major expansion for Mexicali

The NSG Group has announced plans to expand and upgrade the Group’s Automotive glazing operations in Mexicali, Mexico to continue to deliver world class products into both the Aftermarket and Original Equipment markets. The investment involves the construction of a new plant adjacent to our existing plant.
The plant will produce laminated parts (windshields), combining new advanced manufacturing technologies, currently used in our other operations around the world, with our patented suite of optimized solar absorbing automotive glasses such as EZ-Kool®.
The expansion is scheduled to be completed in early 2012 and will increase the NSG Group’s Automotive capacity in Mexico by around 30 percent, permitting the production of some 2.5 million car windshields a year.
