Senator Elects Pilkington energiKare™01 February 2011
Pilkington has teamed up with Senator Windows, Ireland’s leading supplier of glazing, to create a unique Pilkington energiKare™ television advert for the Irish market.
The advert is an adaptation of the popular Pilkington energiKare™ TV advert that was first aired in the UK on digital television and Five in spring 2008. Senator, which provides glazing to both the commercial and domestic markets in Ireland, worked closely with Pilkington to develop the new eye-catching advert. It draws attention to the partnership between the two companies, highlighting the extensive availability of energy efficient Pilkington energiKare™, which is supplied by Senator as standard through its nationwide network of stores.
The new advert will air on Ireland’s main terrestrial channels; RTE1, RTE2 and TV3 in September and October, and is estimated to reach a large proportion of the adult viewing audience.
Kevin Richards, Managing Director, Senator Windows said: "Senator is proud to be market leaders in providing low-e glazing. We spend a lot of time and resource maintaining this position, and these new commercials reflect our commitment. When it comes to energy efficient glass units, Pilkington energiKare™ leads the way. Together, I believe we are a formidable partnership, helping Irish householders save money and energy."
Andy McDowell, National Business Development Manager UK, Pilkington, said: “The Pilkington energiKare™ commercials were a great success in the UK, and this partnership with Senator is an ideal opportunity to let Irish homeowners know about the benefits of the energy efficient glazing. Pilkington energiKare™ can help reduce the amount of net heat lost through windows by up to 90 per cent, which can mean savings of up to £170 a year on heating bills - a significant amount for homeowners who have to contend with rising fuel prices and the onset of winter.”
Senator Windows is one of Ireland's foremost window, door & conservatory manufacturers. Established in 1985, and acquired by the Gowan Group in 2006, it operates both north and south with more than 25 dealers, employing hundreds of people around the country.
