Pilkington Planar™ Triple

    TRIPLE GLAZED INSULATING UNITS

    Triple Glazed Insulating Units can be incorporated into the Pilkington Planar™ System to give better thermal insulation:

    • Generally they comprise of:
      • an outer pane of 10,12, 15 or 19 mm thick glass
      • each of the two airspace widths is 16 mm  the optimum for thermal insulation
      • inner panes of 6mm thick glass
    • Low emissivity Pilkington K Glass™, Pilkington Planar™ Suncoated High Performance and Argon filling can also be used to increase thermal performance
    • A discrete injection moulded  boss is used to enable the bolt to pass through the three panes of glass and the airspaces and fasten back to the structure
    • U Values of 0.8 W/m2K achievable
