Briarcliff House, Farnborough

    OVERVIEW

Pilkington's impressive pedigree in the design and supply of structural glass assemblies stems back to the early 1960's and the launch of the very first structural glass system, the Pilkington Suspended Assembly System. The launch of this system transformed the way in which glass could be integrated into the external envelope of a building.

Since the emergence of the Suspended Assembly System, Pilkington have recorded an impressive set of firsts:

    • the first countersunk hole supported Pilkington Planar™ System
    • the first bolt support insulated Pilkington Planar™ System
    • the first bolt supported laminated Pilkington Planar™ System

Such sustained performance at the forefront of a technology sector requires serious commitment to product development and testing. Pilkington have assembled a team of design and development engineers who are committed to remaining in first position.
