Safestyle UK Achieves Energy Saving Status With The Help Of Pilkington energiKare™

Safestyle UK, one of the first companies to partner with Pilkington in the energiKare™ revolution, has gained accreditation from the Energy Saving Trust’s energy saving recommended scheme for its energy efficient glazing. Safestyle’s leading product, the Diamond Window, has been renamed the Diamond energiKare™ Window, and  now  reaps the rewards of having the Energy Saving Trust’s logo on its products.  The logo clearly highlights to customers that these products will save both energy and money. 

The energy saving credentials provided by Pilkington energiKare™ are outstanding, cutting heat loss from a window by 90 per cent when compared to a single glazed window, in turn helping to reduce the energy use of the whole house by about 20 per cent. As a consequence homeowners benefit from reduced heating bills due to a reduction in the amount of energy required to keep their homes warm.

Pilkington energiKare™ does this by utilising two different types of glazing in order to reduce heat loss. The outer layer of glass is designed to let energy in, a process known as solar gain, with the inner layer designed to reflect any energy trying to escape.
