Pilkington energiKare™ Is A TV Star Again

30 September 2008
The popular Pilkington energiKare™ advertising campaign has returned to the nation’s television screens this week. The adverts for the energy efficient glazing, which were originally aired in spring 2008 to an audience of 15.4 million adults, began their second run on 22nd September. The campaign, which reminds householders of the glazing’s money and energy saving benefits, comes at an ideal time as energy bills soar and winter approaches.

The campaign will be shown on Five and digital television and is estimated to be seen by more than 11 million viewers. To help Partners take full advantage of the interest generated by the adverts, Pilkington has developed a full range of marketing support materials to help sell customers the energy efficient glazing to customers.

Supported by the Energy Saving Trust, the consumer brochure and promotional DVD all provide helpful product information, showing how the glazing works and how much energy and money it could help customers save.

Andy McDowell, National Business Development Manager UK, Pilkington, said: “The adverts were a great success the first time they were aired. They benefit every company that Partners to sell Pilkington energiKare™, and can help to drive sales inquiries. The numbers speak for themselves - windows containing the energy efficient glazing can save homeowners up to £170 a year on fuel bills.”

The first run of Pilkington energiKare™ TV advertising campaign saw a huge amount of traffic to the Pilkington website, with thousands of visitors logging on over the six week period. The top page viewed was the ‘how to buy’ section – with a quarter clicking through to supplier websites, clearly demonstrating the benefits of partnering with Pilkington energiKare™.

Pilkington energiKare™ is a market leading energy efficient glazing which can prevent heat loss from windows by up to 90 per cent. It simultaneously allows heat in from the sun, a process known as solar gain, to contribute positively to a home’s energy requirements.
