What is Pilkington energiKare™?
It is the new energy efficient double glazing from Pilkington and our approved customers. When installed in good window frames it helps to achieve the requirements of the latest Government Building Regulations using the Window Energy Rating scheme. This scheme uses labels similar to those you will have seen on fridges and washing machines, coding on a scale from A to G with A being the most energy efficient. From October 1st 2010 replacement windows in England, Scotland and Wales must be a minimum WER band C.
Window Energy Rating schemes are operated by three Government approved providers in the UK and their labels will be adhered to official WER rated windows as below;
